NAM Technology
Technology at North American Martyrs is a thriving curriculum in which each year builds upon the next. In our Pre-K classes the students work with our new SMARTtables as in introduction to technology being integrated in the classroom. In grades K-2, North American Martyrs emphasizes learning basic core concepts such as mouse manipulation, basic keyboarding skills, cut, copy, paste, saving and opening files, etc. In grades 3-4, North American Martyrs emphasizes the application of the core concepts learned in prior grades within various programs including: Microsoft Office, Advanced Keyboarding skills, Pivot Animation, Coding, as well as Online Researching and Navigation. Now in grades 3-8, North American Martyrs emphasizes technology through chromebooks and how to utilize them as an essential tool on a daily basis. The inclusion of Google Education into our middle school curriculum allows students to work together with google applications such as Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Websites, Gmail, etc. Lastly, touch-typing skills and Internet Safety are taught to each grade in an age appropriate manner using EdPuzzle and Nearpod interactive videos.
